My name is Mr Razza
With over ten years of experience as both a primary school teacher and private tutor, including two rewarding years as Head of Maths, I’ve recently stepped away from classroom teaching to focus full-time on supporting young learners. I hold a Master’s in Education, with research focused on growth mindset and mastery learning—principles that underpin everything I do.
At Razza Tuition, I offer structured online and in-person tuition for KS2, 11+, and Home Education, with local face-to-face sessions available in Romford.
My KS2 classes are taught in separate year groups. In Year 5, the focus is on closing learning gaps and strengthening core understanding before SATs. In Year 6, sessions shift to exam preparation, technique, and full SATs readiness.
For families preparing for grammar school entry, I offer dedicated 11+ group classes suitable for both Year 4 and Year 5 pupils. Sessions follow a clear, systematic programme designed to build skills progressively and prepare children thoroughly for exam day.
For home-educated children, I offer both online group sessions and personalised one-to-one lessons (online or in person). Both formats cover two subjects: Maths, taught through a mastery approach to develop deep understanding and confidence, and Literacy, where topics and texts are chosen around your child's own interests to make reading and writing genuinely enjoyable. Group sessions run in small groups of no more than 8, split by year group, so children also benefit from learning alongside peers.

KS2 Group Classes:
Year 5 & Year 6
My group classes are taught in separate year groups—Year 5 to strengthen understanding and close learning gaps, and Year 6 to build exam technique and full KS2 SATs readiness. Lessons follow a mastery approach, using past papers to build strong reasoning, problem-solving, and independent thinking. Small-group literacy sessions support spelling, grammar, reading, and writing through phonics and focused skills work.

11+ Group Classes:
Year 4 & Year 5 mixed
11+ classes are taught in groups, building exam confidence and readiness through focused practice. Maths sessions cover arithmetic, problem-solving, and reasoning to boost speed and accuracy. Literacy sessions develop comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills using exam-style texts.

One-on-One:

Personalised one-to-one Maths and Literacy sessions for KS2 and 11+. Each session is one hour — use the full hour for one subject, or split into 30 minutes Maths and 30 minutes Literacy. Sessions are fully tailored to your child's individual needs, pace, and goals.

Home Education
Online Group Sessions & One-to-One
I offer two ways to support home-educated children:
Online group sessions — structured weekly Maths and Literacy lessons in small groups of no more than 8 pupils, split by year group (Y3/4 and Y5/6).
One-to-one sessions — fully personalised, with content and pace tailored entirely to your child. Available online or in person.
Maths sessions follow a mastery approach. Literacy sessions are interest-led — topics and texts chosen around what your child loves.
